The dramatic story of Christopher Columbus's discovery of America. Fredric March and his wife, Florence Eldridge, came to Britain specially to star in this lavishly-produced Technicolor production.

The birds of Australasia include some whose plumage is among the most beautiful in the world, some with unique methods of incubation, and others whose ways of courtship are incredibly complex. The behaviour of a few even suggests that birds have an aesthetic sense.

Kenneth More plays the man whose steely determination drove him to fight back through the at times hopeless years of convalescence to a hero's role in the war.
