The Sunday Film presents: A Kenneth More Season: Reach for the Sky

on BBC One London

Tonight: Reach for the Sky
Starring Kenneth More as Douglas Bader
with Muriel Pavlow, Lyndon Brook, Lee Patterson, Alexander Knox

On 15 September 1945 300 aircraft flew in triumph over London. At their head, in a Battle of Britain Spitfire, Wing Commander Douglas Bader, DSO, DFC. For Bader it was a personal triumph too - because 14 years earlier he had lost both legs in a flying accident.
Kenneth More plays the man whose steely determination drove him to fight back through the at times hopeless years of convalescence to a hero's role in the war.
