Cricket from Old Trafford: The Gillette Cup Second Round: Lancashire v. Yorkshire
The last time these traditional rivals met in this competition, Yorkshire, with one wicket left, needed five runs to win when the last over began. Two balls later Lancashire achieved a historic victory amid scenes more reminiscent of a Cup Final. That was in 1967, and another close contest is forecast for this year.

Tonight's show is the second of three programmes from Scotland starring Andy Stewart and featuring international guest artists. Each programme has a theme: this week it's Love.
Viola Talvi performs a Finnish folk song specially arranged for her by Ralph Dollimore. The Karlins entertain with their latest release, and Tony Osborne plays his own arrangement of A Highland Rhapsody. The singers and dancers join forces in an all-action country and western number, and Andy Stewart's solo spot has some outstanding impressions of Harry Worth, Dr. Cameron, and Albert Steptoe.

Hidden telegraphy results in rich rewards for a gang of crooked bookmakers until their wireless engineer becomes too ambitious.
This is one of a series of 'message' movies made during the Kefauver regime. Allegedly shot under police protection, it has a tough documentary quality although, as is usual in this genre, the moral seems to be not that crime doesn't pay, rather that crime pays handsomely but greed doesn't.
