A new episode from the pace-setting adventure series starring Ben Gazzara as Paul Bryan, a man with no ties and no time to spare

In the desperate gaiety of a Las Vegas gambling palace, it amuses Paul to be appointed manager for the moment to an ageing 'Peter Pan' of show-business, but his tolerance is soon sorely tried by the singer's ugly tantrums, and when robbery and much worse follow, he really has got a job on his hands.

by Tom Wright
Starring Jack Hedley as Danny and Leonard Maguire as Rab

from Scotland

This play could be called a thriller, but it is a thriller plus. In a condemned building a man who may be mad plays chess with a man who may, as he claims, be a retired railwayman. As they play it emerges that they are involved in another game in which their lives are pawns. Compassion, disillusionment, fear, and humour create high tension, and the play rises to a climax which a preview notice said 'hurts.'
