In December Dr. W.A. Visser 't Hooft - Wim as he is known in the ecumenical movement - retired from being General Secretary of the World Council of Churches, a post which he had held since the organisation was founded in 1948.
In this Viewpoint interview, filmed in the television studio of the Centre Oecumenique in Geneva, Wim looks back over his lifetime of 'ecumania' and reflects on his achievements, disappointments, and hopes.
