ACT 1: In front of William Tell's cottage by a mountain torrent
by R.J. Benthem, Consultant to the Netherlands State Forest Service, Utrecht
Planning for better living conditions involves, in addition to economic measures, the responsible use of land - in other words, the creation of a dignified human environment. This vast task, which involves managing and protecting man's natural surroundings, had to be discovered anew in this modern world, and to it the Netherlands have made possibly a unique contribution by the creation of new agricultural landscapes in the polders and the reconstruction of existing areas.
(Next talk, by Dr. G.C.L. Bertram: May 25)
Act 2: Nightfall in a mountain valley overlooking the lake of Lucerne
A series of four talks
I-Donne by A. Alvarez
Donne is usually regarded by modern critics as an extremely obscure poet, and it is frequently assumed that he was found obscure by the contemporary audience for whom he was writing. Air. Alvarez believes that this assumption is false: Donne wrote his poems for a small, specific group whose background of knowledge and experience was the same as his own.
ACT 3: The square at Altdorf
Act 4: Scene 1: A cottage
Scene 2: By the lake of Lucerne
Rossini's opera ' Elisabetta, Regina d'lnghilterra ': May 20
