Professor of English at Queen's University, Ontario, has been tracing the many books containing Colendges marginalia which still exist. In this talk he comments on the variety and the significance of this material, much of which has never been published.

The Mandaeans of Iraq claim to preserve among their sacred rites certain ancient ceremonies, in particular the form of baptism with which Christ was baptised by St. John. Lady Drower, who has made a close study of the Mandaeans for nearly forty years, speaks about these survivals and about her recent visit to record their ancient form of Aramaic.
