Talks by Lawrence Alloway and Basil Taylor
A considerable number of British sculptors are showing their work this summer, either in one-man shows or in mixed exhibitions such as the L.C.C.'s ' Sculpture in the Open Air' in Holland Park. Of these sculptors, several have had a first opportunity since the war of working for public sites. In this programme Lawrence Alloway and Basil Tavlor speak about some of these efforts and their results.

'The first of October, 1905,' commemorates a demonstration in Brno, the capital of Moravia, in which a friend of Janacek was killed. The country was at that time under Austrian rule, and the demonstration occurred when a demand for an independent Czech university was refused by the Austrian authorities.
