John Gardner
John Gardner 's Symphony, when it was first performed at the Cheltenham Festival last year, brought his name prominently before the public. Since then he has produced an orchestral work, ' Variations on a WaLtz of Carl Nielsen ,' performed at this year's Cheltenham Festival and afterwards at the Proms; a choral work, Cantiones Sacrae, written for the Three Choirs Festival at Hereford last month; and music for the ballet Reflection, produced by the Sadler's Wells Theatre Ballet at the Edinburgh Festival.
