Frank Walker sums up. comments on, and adds to recent research into the relationship of Verdi and Giuseppina Strepponi , the singer who eventually became his second wife. The discovery of some of Giuseippina's own letters (first published in book form in 1947) provided further invaluable information. These letters are still unknown in this country.
