A philosophical discourse by Professor John Baillie
Principal of New College, Edinburgh
This talk is a shortened version of an address given in Edinburgh last August during the visit of the British Associanon.
Professor Baillie treats the relation of science to religion as a principle that arises not so much between two men-the man of science and the man of faith-but as the problem that emerges when the man of science and the man of faith are the same man and the two entities to be related are elements in a single mind.
