First of three talks by Hesketh Pearson
Hesketh Pearson went on the stage in 1911 and came to know personally several of the actor-managers whose reign in the theatre was drawing to an end, though no one recognised this at the time. His first talk deals with H. B. Irving and Lewis Waller , and in particular with their productions of Shakespeare.
