This service of National Dedication follows appropriately on the great National Service Rally in Hyde Park this afternoon. The occasion of the service is an act of dedication of the life of the country to the service of God and the cause of peace and justice.
The music will be under the direction of Sir Walford Davies , Master of the King's Musick.

One of America's 'ace' broadcasters, renowned for the easy and informal way with which he talks to American audiences on things as they occur to him, Alexander Woollcott is giving tonight the first of a series of six broadcasts to British listeners. He has been heard on British radio twice during the last few months, once on Boxing Day when he gave a talk on Stephen Foster, the composer of 'Swanee River', and on Wednesday last when he gave an illustrated talk on Irving Berlin. Further details about him will be found on page 6.
His talks will be informal, and will consist of a weekly commentary on things that have recently interested him in the United States.
