A description of the cattle parade by J. A. Scott Watson and John Green , from the Show Ground,
Sophia Gardens , Cardiff
The ' Royal ', to be attended this year by the Duke of Gloucester, is the biggest agricultural show in the world. Each year the show is held in a different centre. It opened yesterday at Cardiff and it closes on Saturday.
For many years the parade of cattle on Wednesday afternoon has been the outstanding feature of the show. The prizewinners of all breeds in the cattle classes parade in front of the grand stand in a continuous procession.
For the first time this unique spectacle will be described over the air by Professor J. A. Scott Watson, who has been giving the farming talks and who is himself an expert on livestock, and by John Green, who handles farming broadcasts.

Nunc Dimittis (Bennett in E flat) Anthem
' O living will that shalt endure
When all that seems shall suffer shock, Rise in the spiritual rock,
Flow thro' our deeds and make them pure.
That we may lift from out of dust A voice as unto Him that hears, A cry above the conquer'd years
To One that with us works, and trust.
With faith that comes of self-control, The truths that never can be proved Until we close with all we loved,
And all we flow from. soul in soul.'

from the Royal Show Ground,
Sophia Gardens , Cardiff
Professor Scott Watson hopes to bring to the microphone many of the leading agriculturists in this country to give their opinion of this year's show and of farming generally. He will also try to persuade some of the distinguished visitors from the Dominions and the principal exporting countries to say something to listeners.
Last year the Royal Show was held at Wrottesley Park, Wolverhampton ; this year's show, at Cardiff (the ninety-ninth), is being held at Pontcanna Farm-an actual working farm-and will cover 150 acres of ground. Next year the centenary show will be held in the Great Park at Windsor, under the presidency of H.M. the King.

' The story of the bombing of Barcelona '
John Langdon-Davies
John Langdon-Davies , who recently gave a talk in ' Both Sides of the Line ', has been to Spain six times as a war correspondent. Today he is to read extracts from the log of the municipal authorities in Barcelona, giving a detailed account of the air raids of March 16, 17, and 18, in which it is estimated that 3,000 people were killed and 25,000 injured. He will also read various eye-witness accounts he collected from people who suffered in the raids. This broadcast should be an invaluable contribution to the A.R.P. series and will show listeners what it is like to be involved in a modern air raid.
