' The story of the bombing of Barcelona '
John Langdon-Davies
John Langdon-Davies , who recently gave a talk in ' Both Sides of the Line ', has been to Spain six times as a war correspondent. Today he is to read extracts from the log of the municipal authorities in Barcelona, giving a detailed account of the air raids of March 16, 17, and 18, in which it is estimated that 3,000 people were killed and 25,000 injured. He will also read various eye-witness accounts he collected from people who suffered in the raids. This broadcast should be an invaluable contribution to the A.R.P. series and will show listeners what it is like to be involved in a modern air raid.
