The Cellini Trio consists of three well-known instrumentalists.
Gordon Walker is principal flute of the London Symphony Orchestra and was for ten years principal flute at Covent Garden. He has appeared as soloist in Bach and Mozart Concertos at the Proms and at nearly every important concert organisation in the Kingdom.
Geraint Williams is sub-principal
'cellist of the London Symphony Orchestra. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music under W. H. Squire and Warwick Evans , and is now well known as a soloist. Roy Douglas , pianist and composer, is a frequent broadcaster, appearing in almost every kind of programme from orchestral concerts to chamber music and accompanying.
A notable feature of the Cellini Trio is the fact that all their programmes are not only very carefully rehearsed, but each number is specially arranged for their combination, as their aim is* to perform everything in true chamber music style.

The more closely and intimately we watch the birds, the more fascinating they become. Although all robins are alike in some ways, they are, like human beings, very different in others. And it is the same with other birds. When we get to know them as individuals, we find many new delights in our observation of them.
This afternoon Mr. Richard Morse will speak about some of the simpler methods of bird-watching, whether in town or country, and will describe his own observations of some of the more familiar species of garden and countryside.

The Hirsch String Quartet is one of the leading chamber music ensembles in the provinces. All its members studied at the Royal Manchester College of Music under Dr. Brodsky and are now members of the Halle
Orchestra.
Leonard Hirsch , founder and leader, was born in Dublin in 1902, and for several years played second violin for the original Catterall Quartet.
Reginald Stead comes from Huddersficld and was lately appointed Musical
Director to the Colwyn Bay Corpora- tion. The other two members, Sydney Errington and Haydn Rogerson , are both well known as soloists and chamber music players.
