Charles Buchan , as readers know by now, was four times captain of England, and did b'g things for Sunderland and still bigger things for Arsenal, whilst J. G. Palmer has been the means of winning incredible successes tor Woolwich Schools' Association since he has been their trainer. But the most interesting thing about these two, so far as this talk is concerned, is that they were at school together. They are to discuss and contrast football of their schooldays with that of today - facilities, kit, training, and so on.

Oratorio singer in Yorkshire, grand opera at the Old Vie., guest artist with the Carl Rosa Opera Company, West End revue, understudy to Tauber (f,)r whom he played) at Drury Lane. Who can have more abundant musical memories ?
His present act with Sylvia Cecil as partner is a big winner. Sylvia has twice been with the Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company at the Prince's Theatre and her soprano voice is perfect for broadcasting.
Then there are Charles Higgins , in ' The Day I went to Wembley for the Cup Tie ', Ross and Sargent, just back from Hollywood, and our old friend Norman Long.
