It will be remembered that in Mr. Geoffrey Crowther's first talk he explained how we, as a country, are susceptible to influences from abroad, and how quite obscure events overseas can often be the means of throwing men out of work in Britain.
In his second talk Mr. Crowther dealt with the causes of the disastrous shrinking of international trade, and this morning he is to describe what is being done, and what could be done, to restart the wheels of commerce.
