The form of this Prelude and Fugue is tho traditional one we have inherited from Bach.
It is scored for full orchestra. If listeners will note that the subject of the Prelude is first heard on four horns softly played, and the Fugue is begun by the 'cellos, no further analysis is necessary for full enjoyment.
