The Circus Princess, which was first produced in Vienna in 1926, receives its first presentation in this country with this performance in the Concert Hall at Broadcasting House tonight. Book, lyrics, and music have been specially adapted for broadcasting by the producer and conductor. Emmerich Kalman is one of the most famous contemporary composers of operetta. He has a long list of successes to his credit, including A Little Dutch Girl and The Gypsy Princess. John Hendrik , the young German tenor, to whom broadcasting has given rapid prominence, has his first big part in this country in tonight's production ; in Germany he has sung many optretta rôles created by Richard Tauber. He plays opposite Harriet Bennett , a distinguished American singer, who created the title-rôle in Nina Rosa , and played in Rose Marie for two years in Australia.
