A second series of talks by Jocelyn Bradford on London's military splendours and pageantry
1-The Household Cavalry
The Household Cavalry are the centre-piece of military grandeur, and the Regular troops nearest the Throne itself. They are the scarlet- or blue-uniformed Cavalry who still electrify London's bubbling crowds on all great ceremonial occasions. Major Bradford goes a step further, and tells, among other things, how they were once nearly electrified themselves.
