It is September to, 1958. In the Arabian Sea a French and a Liberian tanker collide. The subsequent rescue and salvage operation, in which the aircraft carrier H.M.S. Bulwark was aided by naval frigates and the R.A.F., was an outstanding feat of seamanship.
