Talk by the Rev. Andrew Thakur Das
Pastor of Naulakha Church, Lahore
The speaker discusses the position of the Christian Church in tthe Moslem State of Pakistan. He shows how it has related itself to the new sense of nationhood and has avoided the danger of becoming an alien movement. Unlike some other Moslem lands, Pakistan has a long tradition of Christianity. Mr. Thakur Das is pastor of a large church in Lahore which is self-supporting and in no way dependent on funds from rhe West. He is also executive secretary of the West Pakistan Christian Council. As a delegate of the United Church in Pakistan, he attended the third Conference on ' Faith and Order ' recently 'held in Lund, Sweden, where this talk was recorded.
