The Finnish barque Moshulu took part with twelve other big sailing ships in the last Grain Race from Australia to Britain. Mr. Newby, who was the only Englishman aboard her, describes how, after sixty-seven days of living mainly on pickled pork and potatoes, the crew celebrated Christmas in true Scandinavian fashion.
