' The Lord Christ is Risen '
Fifteenthin the series of Bible plays
Written and produced by J. Stanley Pritchard
After Jesus had been crucified and laid in the tomb. Pilate gave permission for the tomb to be sealed and a guard 'set over it. But on the morning of the third day, when the women came to the sepulchre, they found the stone rolled away, and an angel standing there in shining raiment who said: ' You seek Jesus of Nazareth who was crucified. Why do you seek him here among the dead? Go and tell his disciples, and Peter, that he is risen from the dead as he promised.'

Appeal on behalf of the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution by the Duke of Beaufort, K.G., P.C., G.C.V.O.
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged and should be addressed to [address removed]
The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution exists to look after the casualties of the farming profession, both young and old. Fortunately cases of distress among the young are comparatively rare, but there are very many old people who, in cultivating the soil, have lost every penny they possessed: and few of them are insured. Last year the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution spent more than £ 27,000 in small pensions and grants and more than £ 4,000 on hostel accommodation.
Many of these aged people eke out a meagre existence in derelict cottages, but the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution has now begun to accommodate the saddest cases in hostels, and has been receiving valuable co-operation from some Local Authorities. The extent of this good work, however, must depend on the financial support received from voluntary sources.
