or 'To meet the Seven Deadly Sins'
A farce-morality by James Bridie
Cast
The Seven Deadly Sins:
Produced by John Gough
Nobody could have written this play but James Bridie, the Scots doctor-dramatist. It is dedicated to Tyrone Guthrie, who produced it in Glasgow in 1928 when the Scottish National Players gave the first performance. The prologue introduces Beelzebub (who speaks the Doric) and the Seven Deadly Sins, who try their skill on a picnic party until they are routed by Faith, Hope, and Charity.
