Sir Ronald Storrs , K.C.M.G., C.B.E.
One of the greatest living experts on Near Eastern affairs, Sir Ronald Storrs was appointed Oriental Secretary to the British Agency in Egypt before the last war. While there he met T. E. Lawrence , when that extraordinary genius was preparing his plans to deal with the Arabian situation. Sir Ronald Storrs was not only a political collaborator with. but also a close friend of, Lawrence, and there are few men living more qualified to speak of one who was perhaps the most unique character of the last war.
Sir Ronald is an experienced microphone hand, having broadcast on many occasions, both to school, and in the evening programmes, on Near Eastern questions.

Sonata for piano in F sharp minor
(Op. 2) played by John Pauer
Brahms's three piano sonatas were all written in the enthusiasm of youth, when the influence of Schumann was most apparent. The 2, in F sharp minor, is in four movements and is conceived on as big a scale as the better-known Sonata in F minor, Op. 5, which was written the following year.

The very phrase ' Drury Lane production ' conjures up in the mind one word-Success. At no time has the tradition of this famous theatre been more thoroughly maintained than during the twelve years under review. Rose Marie , with its stupendous stage effects and tuneful score, ushered in a long series of musical successes. Among these, from which music and song will be heard tonight, are The Desert Song, Show Boat, Netc Moon , The Three Musketeers, Cavalcade, and, of course, the Ivor Novello series which concluded with The Dancing Years
