New series 1/7. Is it possible to run an eco-friendly household, be self-sufficient in energy and food, but still keep all the mod cons? Ex-army engineer Dick Strawbridge and his family are taking on the challenge with a crumbling Cornish farmhouse that has no electricity or plumbing. From now on life is all about home-grown veggies, chicken coops, compost loos and solar power - but, as Dick explains, their green dream could turn into a nightmare: "We're definitely not eco-warriors. We aren't prepared to give up our creature comforts for long."

New series 1/3. Lazy teenagers at Fortismere
Comprehensive in the leafy north London suburb of Muswell Hill had better pull their socks up. Out to "kick butt" is Yolande Beckles , a sassy, straight-talking "educational motivator" whose belief in discipline and old-fashioned values is a legacy of her own upbringing by strict Caribbean parents. Yo has no time for what she sees as indulgent liberal parenting: out go smoking, drinking, parties and band practice in favour of detailed study plans and draconian ground rules. The kids are bound to revolt - but what about the parents and teachers?
