Liz Cadman is typical of the 20-something boomerang generation - financially challenged young adults who play out a yo-yo existence between independence and living at home with their parents. Financial wizard Alvin Hall faces the challenge of not only helping Cadman rid herself of mounting debt but, more fundamentally, of making her realise the strain she is placing on her parents.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the conquest of Mount Everest, this documentary tells the story of the historic expedition headed by Edmund Hillary. Seven previous attempts to scale the world's highest mountain had failed and in 1953 it was only Hillary and Tenzing Norgay of Nepal who reached the summit after the other climbers were forced to turn back. Previously unseen archive material and dramatic testimony from members of both the British and Swiss teams tell the inside story of this epic adventure and throw new light on the bitter controversies that followed.
