Britt Ekland was surely ideally placed to comment on the second year of the celebrated decade in this repeated series on the 1970s. It was the year of her big break in the film Get Carter with Michael Caine, and shortly before her celebrated relationship with Rod Stewart. Other highlights recalled include clackers, space hoppers, the Banana Splits, Chirpy Chirp Cheep Cheep, the arrival of Shaft and hot pants, plus the antics of show jumper Harvey Smith.
