Kevin Powell decides to quit his job designing futuristic weapons in order to develop a high-tech bomb which can dislodge the snow build-ups that cause avalanches. Armed only with his life savings and an obsession with blowing things up, he begins testing in Utah but it proves expensive and problematic and with the family home at stake, Kevin is acutely aware of the need to succeed.
