A series of fourteen films looking at women in Britain today-their lives and their attitudes.

Fleet Street welcomes women. Every paper has a number on its staff who pursue their careers as relentlessly as their male colleagues do. In journalism, as in few professions, they are treated - and behave - as equals.
Tonight's film takes a look at the lives of three women journalists who have taken advantage of the scope offered in a welcoming profession: Clare Hollingworth, Defence Correspondent of The Guardian; Jean Stead, who works on The Guardian's newsdesk; and Audrey Slaughter, editor of Honey and Petticoat.
