Per Host is a famous Norwegian explorer and naturalist who has spent many years filming the habits and migrations of reindeer in Lapland.
Recently he flew over from Norway to show Peter Scott some of his remarkable films, including a detailed study of Arctic seals.

The giant particle accelerators - the cyclotron and the synchrotron - are the marvels of our age, in size, in cost, in the precision of their design, and in the engineering skills required to build them. They enable the nuclear physicist to study the interaction of mass and energy within the tiny nucleus which is the heart of the atom.

This film, the second in a series made in co-operation with the Civic Trust, tells the story of a family who move from the slums into a new housing estate in Birmingham. It shows something of the feelings of a young widow, her two boys, and their cat, from the day that the removal van arrives until they have settled down to a new way of life.
