Can we help those suffering and disabled from polio? Shall we ever be able to speak of polio as the disease 'that children used to have'? The aim of the National Fund for Poliomyelitis Research is to find the answer to questions like these. Tonight its founder, Duncan Guthrie, appeals for funds to help research into the prevention of this crippling disease and the treatment of children and adults already afflicted.
