1/2. The first of two programmes marking the 150th anniversary of the deaths of composer Robert Schumann and the poet
Heinrich Heine. Through specially commissioned dramas by Hattie Naylor , starring Daniel Goode and Ben Crowe , and an exploration of Heine's complex relationship with his native Germany by Jim Reed , lain Burnside delves deeper into one of the most fascinating composer-poet relationships of the 19th century.
