How do the grandchildren of Holocaust survivors come to terms with the experiences of their grandparents? Anne Karpf talks with medical student Shoshana Burke , rock musician Sam Fluskey and musicial siblings Simon, Benjamin and Joanna Wallf isch. Featuring Requiem, specially composed by Benjamin Wallf isch and performed in the studio by three generations of cellists: his brother Simon, his father Raphael Wallfisch, and his grandmother, Anita Lasker-Wallf isch, whose cello playing saved her life in Auschwitz.

Their music is a minimalist abstraction of dance music, while veteran
Japanese composer Yasunao Tone comes from the Fluxus movement, and uses indeterminate methods. In his new work, Paramedia Music, sound is sculpted by the movement of a calligraphy brush. Plus John Cage 's pioneering four-channel tape collage piece, Williams Mix.
