Joe Lovano and Hank Jones
Jez Nelson presents an evening of laid-back classics recorded last month at the Barbican Hall in London. Saxophonist Joe Lovano is joined by 83-year-old pianist Hank Jones, George Mraz on bass. and Dennis Mackrel on drums to perform a selection of jazz standards, as celebrated on Lovano's latest album "I'm All for You". They also pay tribute to Hank's late brother, drummer Elvin Jones, with music from his repertoire. Plus the results of the BBC Jazz Awards, which were announced yesterday evening, and music from some of the winners.
