For the second final, the three successful entrants are joined for their concerto performances by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under Simon Rattle. The judges' verdict will be delivered at approximately 11pm.

Another chance to hear two of this year's most memorable performances. Earlier this year Michael Brecker thrilled London's Ronnie Scott's with music from his highly regarded release Time Is of the Essence and was joined for the date by the legendary Idris Muhammad on drums and Larry Goldings on organ. In the second part of this double bill Brecker joins veteran percussionist Don Alias at the Queen Elizabeth Hall for an explosion of Latin, Brazilian and Afro-Cuban jazz rhythms.
