Performance on 3: Leeds International Pianoforte Competition 2000

Live from Leeds Town Hall.
Petroc Trelawny and Angela Hewitt introduce the culmination of this year's competition. For the second final, the three successful entrants are joined for their concerto performances by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under Simon Rattle. The judges' verdict will be delivered at approximately 11pm.
This evening's interval is Private Pianist.... Public Pianist, the second programme in which David Owen Norris probes the life of a concert pianist, with contributions from Emanuel Ax, Joanna MacGregor, Hamish Milne, Paul Lewis, Stephen Kovacevich, Kathryn Stott, the artists' manager David Sigall and the critic Adrian Jack.
