With Peggy Reynolds.

Goethe said that Schiller was magnificent "even when cutting his fingernails". Schiller was one of the greatest playwrights of 18th-century Germany. He based many of his works on the great figures of history, like Joan of Arc, Mary Stuart and William Tell. His interpretations were so exciting that almost all of his plays were turned into operas.

The Kitsch Show!
Four illustrated reflections on kitsch. 3: Richard Dyer , professor of film studies at Warwick University, asks how intellectuals can enjoy what they know to be kitsch without resorting to inverted commas. He wonders if he can ever return to a simple appreciation of the Queen, The
Waltons or The Sound of Music. He finds an answer in two different versions of Could It Be Magic? (by Take That and Petula Clark ) and the Italian love song Grazie Dei Fiori.
