Today he looks at the London Philharmonic and introduces recordings of the orchestra playing Berlioz, Haydn, Sibelius, Tchaikovsky, Elgar, Holst, Mozart, Stravinsky and Beethoven conducted by Thomas Beecham, Hamilton Harty, Eduard van Beinum, Adrian Boult, John Pritchard, Bernard Haitink, Georg Solti and Klaus Tennstedt.

Richard Osboune, Jonathan Swain and Patrick O'Connor pick their way through Solti's rich recorded legacy and come up with their favourite discs, including orchestral works by Mahler and Bartok and operas by Mozart, Wagner and Strauss.
