A fairytale opera in three acts by Humperdinck
Libretto by ERNST ROSMER (sung in German: records) Humperdinck's ' other ' opera (Children of Kings) first appeared in 1897 as a kind of melodrama, using a primitive form of Sprechgesang. It was not a success and in 1908 the composer began turning it into a full-scale opera. In this form it had its first performance at the Metropolitan, New York, in 1910. BAVARIAN RADIO CHORUS

"They gleefully agreed on a signal at which they would begin to smash the windows, which were of stained glass depicting Biblical scenes; and certain that they would have a large following among the people, they set out towards the Cathedral when the bells began to ring, determined to leave not one stone standing on another."
Robert Eddison reads a story by Heinrich Von Kleist, translated by David Luke and Nigel Reeves.

Garrison Halibut
An extravaganza by IAN DOUGALL with James Aubrey as Bo' Rider
Garrison' and 'Halibut' are the first and last words in a volume of one edition of the Encyclopaedia Britannica and Garrison Halibut also happens to be the name of the place where Ian Dougall 's everyman acquires his experience. The play is an allegorical journey through a Holly-wood-style Wild West, a free-form satire on some aspects of the Western, but also a disguised attack against the value of formal specialised knowledge when the student may in many respects turn out to be a ' social imbecile'.
