In the second of his three talks on love and marriage in literature. Professor Laurence Lerner passes on from the traditional conflict between the two to a consideration of the way British writers have treated love within marriage. In particular, he concentrates on the eloquent celebration of married love by two puritans - John Miiton in his divorce tracts and Paradise Lost, D. H. Lawrence in The Rainbow.
