Jack MacGowran reads poems by Beckett
The late Jack MacGowran (1918-1973) took part in two programmes of Beckett's poetry. first broadcast in March and November 1966. On the occasion of Samuel Beckett 's 70th birthday which he celebrated on 13 April, we are broadcasting a selection from these two programmes - which were recorded in the presence of Samuel Beckett. who in some cases amended the text, which therefore differs slightly from the published versions.
