Dramatic Oratorio in three acts Libretto by THOMAS MORELL Music by Handel

Composed in 1749, Theodora, was one of Handel's last dramatic works, and one for which the composer had special affection. The story which tells of a Christian martyr who died in Antioch during the persecution of the Emperor Diocletian, inspired some of Handel's finest music.
