The Naylor Affair by ELISABETH BOND with music by STEPHEN BOXER
After the execution of King Charles I, English society was in a state of flux. It was a time of intense religious interest, with men and women struggling to find their own way to God. One of the most important sects that sprang up was the Quakers, and one of its most important members was James Naylor. His preaching created a following and he had to carry the weight of his disciples' fervour.

In six programmes Graham Turner assesses the relevance of class in the 80s.
4: Dividing Walls
Our environment Is patterned with demarcation lines, boundaries and walls - some symbolic, some real. Is the changing shape of our environ. ment a reflection of changing class patterns in this country or are we irrevocably trapped and shaped into a particular class according to where we live? How high are the walls that divide us and how easy is it to scale them?

International Leprosy Day Anne Catchpole describes how one Third World country - Thailand - is coping with what the locals call Roke Rünthe Ugly Disease. To compile this report she stayed at a mission hospital in North Thailand and, with a medical team, visited remote villages along the Burmese border to treat just a very few of the world's 15 million leprosy victims.
