Back from a retreat ("not so much a holiday, more a refresher course"), Father Peter has a couple of nasty shocks awaiting him. For starters, he finds two half-naked girls running around his house and then he receives news about Assumpta that hits him harder than he knows how to take. It is the source of many hot-eyed glances between the two.
Brian Quigley's money problems have escalated to the point where he has let out the house to tourists and Peter has to find accommodation elsewhere.
Meanwhile, the villagers have managed to fall out with each other. The solution arrives when the gauntlet is laid down for "Bar Wars" with the nearby McLogans.
