Tonight, a report on an unusual collaboration between archaeologists and geneticists in northern Chile, home of the oldest and best preserved mummies in the world. In the Atacama desert, known as the driest place on earth, geneticists are matching the DNA from 8,000-year-old mummies with the DNA fingerprints of the present-day inhabitants to give archaeologists insights into the migration patterns of the ancient tribes of the Atacama. Plus, a report from Coventry about a car that hunts down broken street lights, removing the single biggest cause for complaints to the town hall, and making the city a safer place at night. Presented by Carol Vorderman, with Monty Don, Shahnaz Pakravan, Howard Stableford, Vivienne Parry and Rebecca Stephens.
