Norwich City v Bayern Munich
Norwich's victory two weeks ago in Munich's Olympic Stadium, against one of the continent's foremost clubs, ranks among the finest English performances in European competition.
Tonight there Is live coverage from Carrow Road of this Uefa
Cup second round second leg match with Norwich aiming to complete the job which started so well with that 2-1 victory. Bayern Munich, however, remain formidable opponents, with the experience of three European Cup victories, 11 European semi-final appearances in the last 20 years and a total of matches at this level behind them. Norwich, on the other hand, are enjoying their first season in Europe.
Admired for their style of play,
Norwich have tightened their defence this season and victory in Munich was typical of a team with a splendid away record in the Premiership. But they know too well that performances at home have been strangely subdued - apart from an encouraging 3-0 victory over Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem in the Uefa Cup first round.
Introduced by Desmond Lynam with Alan Hansen and commentary by John Motson and Trevor Brooking. Producer John Shrewsbury

As Margaret Thatcher strides the world stage
_ with Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev , and the Soviet President describes his warm but combative relationship with her, her colleagues begin to feel disenchantment In the second of this four-part profile of the former Prime Minister.
The election campaign gathers pace. Party chairman Norman Tebbit sees her as a "medieval monarch wondering who has his eyes on the crown". Thatcher reveals that her advisers tried to keep her out of the limelight during this time.
Sir Geoffrey Howe feels that her trumpeted "special relationship" with Reagan was at the expense of relations with Europe, and Nigel Lawson says of her: "She distrusted her colleagues." Of Lawson, presiding over a worsening economy, Thatcher says in turn he was "a man of many talents ... but great drawbacks".
Problems with the poll tax are looming, and the Prime Minister is ever more isolated behind the newly erected Downing Street security gates.
