Byker Grove is the fictional Tyneside Youth Centre where teenage lives come sharply, dramatically into focus. Never shy of serious storylines, this new series
(the fifth) concentrates on disability, drugs religion and relationships, while light relief is provided by Grove Matrix, the band formed by three of the boys in an attempt to crash the pop charts.
Byker Grove was selected by the Radio Times Parents' Guide panel as the outstanding children's television drama.

Roger Nowell owes £38,000 in tax arrears. Untroubled by this, Roger takes a rare holiday, sailing a 60-year-old Newlyn trawler across the Channel to a French festival of classic boats. His wife Nell is left at home to worry about the implications of imminent bankruptcy. In France, the holiday turns sour. One of the crew falls, injuring his head, and the trawler dashes to the nearest port. More unwelcome news awaits Roger's return home. The bankruptcy papers have arrived.

At first sight it could seem to be a straightforward murder investigation for Tony Clark (Neil Pearson ), in the second of the new drama series about the Met's Complaints Investigation Bureau. Except that the murderer is a detective superintendent and the victim is his wife.
The murderer has himself investigated more than 40 murders, and is described by his boss as "calm, cool-headed, a very private man". But the more Clark examines the case the more complex the truth appears to be.

Concluding the personal account of the life and career of Alexander Korda by fellow
Hungarian director Peter Sasdy. Korda rose from a poor background to become the first knight of the British film industry. The story opens in wartime, with Korda playing a surprising role as a spy.
